Awesome maximize effect to probably land in Oneiric or Oneiric+1

Ubuntu 11.10 is an exciting development cycle, but, it seems that more UI "goodies" are to arrive.

Natty Narwhal features a maximize windows effect ("aero snap"-like) which looks like an orange outline with zero content in it when the semi/maximize action is in progress.

According to launchpad, this is a plan (by design), meaning, first, the developers introduced the orange grid (Compiz Grid plugin), then the grid is to be probably replaced by a snapshot of the future maximized window (probably a just now cached snapshot, or a blurred one) with an awesome zoom-in/out effect and no outline at all.

This video is not just a mockup, but an UI enhancement created by the Design Team that is to probably land in Oneiric, or most likely Oneiric+1.
