Ayatana Overlay Scrollbars 0.2.4 released with smooth scrolling, new behavior and more (Ubuntu 11.10)
Ayatana Overlay Scrollbars are really starting not only to mature but to become awesome.
This gorgeous space-aware scrollbars have just been updated to 0.2.4 version, bringing the "real deal":
- smooth scroll web-browser extension-like (when you click the thumb), enhancing the overall desktop experience and bringing a strong feeling of smoothness and professionalism (if you want to see the difference, just try with, for instance, Epiphany web-browser, visit a web-page and scroll a "recommended" long page first with your mouse scroll-wheel and then by clicking the thumb)
- new "on-demand" appearance (if you click the thumb the overlay becomes longer/shorter with a visible expansion depending on "Page Up"/"Page Down")
- new overlay appearance (when you click the thumb the overlay expands itself, using the thumb as expansion point, and only its leading part is orange, the rest remains gray)
- new "frozen" behavior (the overlay remains in its expanded state when the thumb is dragged)
