Be up-to-date with OrthCal, handy generator of daily Christian feasts

OrthCal is a handy utility, focused on delivering official/recognized/celebrated feasts of the Eastern Orthodox Calendar, categorizing its data in feasts as set by the old Julian Calendar and the new revised Julian Calendar.

Launching the app, pushes its appindicator into the Unity panel, where Today's Feasts (Julian/Old Calendar) and Today's Feasts (Revised Julian/New Calendar) are to be located.

Clicking on Today's Feasts, displays a visuallly enriched window, exposing numerous feasts ("backed" by explanatory details) and an interesting religious background, as well as monochrome crosses, visual additions that integrate the exposed text into a religious Christian "feel".

Unity integration has been definitely considered by OrthCal, allowing the user, along with its appindicator, to easily access actions via an enhanced Unity launcher quicklist.

OrthCal is addressed to users across the world, especially in countries (where there are significant numbers of Orthodox Christians) like Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine.

OrthCal 1.3 is available for free via Ubuntu Software Center.
