Everpad 1.11 adds new All Notes window, weblinks support and fixes
Evernote is a widely known and used note-taking online-based service, allowing users to both create and share notes across multiple devices ("united" by a user account).
Everpad is a powerful utility, designed with combining the Evernote's power with Ubuntu's versatile desktop in mind, mix expressed as a Unity-integrated Evernote-based tool featuring appindicator, enhanced Unity launcher quicklist, Unity launcher progressbar and a dedicated Unity lens.
Weeks ago, Everpad replaced its note-creation dialog with a refreshed view, constantly receiving new editing text-related functionalities, such as Bold, Italic, Underline, Center, Align Right, Insert Bulleted List, etc.
Everpad has been updated to another interesting release, 1.11, enriching its editing options, as well as further integrating notes into the desktop.
The new 1.11 version introduces an Insert Link button, consequently, in order to add a weblink to the created note, click its toolbar icon and paste the weblink in the summoned dialog.
A definitely interesting addition is the newly landed All Notes (accessible under Everpad appindicator-->All Notes), basically, a note management window exposing created notes.
Opening a note is as simple as double-clicking on it (from inside the All Notes window).
Furthermore, along with the displayed notebooks and notes, the user is able to create new notebooks and notes, edit notes, delete notes and notebooks.
Basically, All Notes act as an alternative to the appindicator's provided functionality, in the sense of allowing the user to edit, observe, manage notes (while Everpad appidicator maintaining its similar functionality).
The mentioned features, backed by an improved sync process, come to deliver a more strengthened and editing-friendly Everpad release.
How do we install Everpad 1.11?
Add the following official PPA (Oneiric, Precise, Quantal)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nvbn-rm/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install everpad
Worth mentioning
In order to access the lens, a computer restart is required.
