Fast lightweight media player Xnoise 0.2.5 adds Ubuntu One Music Store

Xnoise

Xnoise is a lightweight fast media player, designed with a track-centric attitude in mind, allowing the user to play media via a simplistic interface yet packed with numerous plugins, configuration options, etc.

Usually, looking to properly develop applications for the Ubuntu desktop, is to "force" the third-party developers to integrate apps via Ubuntu's specific bits, both "internals" (such as Sound Menu, Unity launcher, HUD, etc) and external (like Ubuntu One Music Store), actions needed for a no-compromise fully-usable experience.

Xnoise 0.2.5 has been released introducing support for Ubuntu One Music Store, meaning, consequently, the users are now able to access and use the Music Store directly from inside Xnoise.

The Ubuntu One integration has been implemented as a plugin (disabled by default), in order to enable it navigate to Xnoise-->the top-right "cog" icon-->Preferences-->Plugins-->check Ubuntu One Music Store, action that adds Ubuntu One Music Store under sidebar's Stores category.

Along with the mentioned handy addition, the new 0.2.5 version brings code cleanups, updated translations, improved lyrics plugin, as well as minor fixes and improvements.
