Geotag utility, Pictag, landed in Ubuntu Software Center
Pictag is a handy picture-related utility, featuring a double-sided approach, acting, first, as a tool useful to tag pictures in relation to a "point" on the presented maps and, secondly, as a map displaying tagged pictures on its surface, and thus presenting itself as a "guide" for the user searching, observing, analyzing pictures' origin.
Its usage is as simple as selecting a directory (containing pictures) and a map (
Maps for Free Relief, etc) and, after clicking (and thus selecting) an image from the left-side panel, the actual tagging is performed by directly clicking on the zoomable map.
Pictag 12.07.15 has landed in Ubuntu Software Center, thus being 1-click away available for installation.
Pictag has been created for Ubuntu App Showdown contest.
