GIMP Magazine issue #1 published and available for download (free of charge)

GIMP Magazine is a newly launched GIMP-focused publication, featuring a wide range of topics and subjects of interest.

GIMP Magazine presents the reader digital art, photography, tips and tricks, whys, whos, wheres, etc, creative "energy" shaped around a global passionate community of GIMP lovers.

From its very beginning, the GIMP Magazine expresses its to-be-followed goals, such as promoting GIMP and related open-source software, basically, putting in its very center art and photography created with and expressed through GIMP (and related plugins).

The open magazine has been created for and addressed to "GIMP users, graphic designers, photographers, digital artists, web designers, developers, GIMP trainers/writers, and the developers of GIMP" and "to those who might be considering GIMP as their next image package".

GIMP Magazine -Issue 1 has been released and it is already available (for free) for download.

The 50-page long PDF magazine presents, in its first incarnation, subjects like Essential GIMP Resources, User Photography Gallery, GIMP 2.8 review, GIMP Master Class, mainly, dealing with relevant topics via a colored full-of-images presentation.

The newcomers are "faced" with an important aspect of GIMP, like for instance, how to save $2000 by simply switching to GIMP that, while being open-source and featuring a massive community, can be "backed" by various open-source softwares (such as Inkscape), thus producing a powerful professional bundle of tools (as a serious solid alternative to the proprietary tools).
