Indicator Remindor 12.10 released with new features and state-aware icon

Indicator Remindor is a handy utility, allowing the user to easily set reminders via an easily graspable interface with numerous configuration options and proper Unity integration.

Indicator Remindor has been updated to version 12.10, enriching its manner of dealing with reminders, as well as strengthening (on demand) the notified alarm's approach.

New useful options have been added to the about-to-be-created reminder, meaning, Time, Date and Command gained an Edit button, clicking on it, summons:

  • under Time, a dialog that allows the user to adjust the reminder's time, furthermore, selecting every X minutes/hours, brings extra options, such as every 2, 3, 5, etc, minutes and From and To
  • under Date, a dialog featuring Date (ability to specify Every Day, Every X days, Every Xth of the month, etc) and On (containing Today, Tomorrow, Monday, etc), basically, a clear manner of in-depth tweaking the date
  • under Command, a dialog from where installed applications can be selected

Creating a reminder, notifies the reminder via a desktop notification, yet, the new 12.10 release introduces a simplistic yet effective visual helper for the desktop notification, meaning, navigating to Indicator Remindor appindicator-->Manage-->Add-->Notification-->check Dialog Box summons a small dialog (displaying Indicator Remindor icon) along with the regular desktop notification, minor tweak aimed at notifying the user in cases like "missing" the notification bubble.

A definitely interesting aspect of Indicator Remindor 12.10 is its appindicator icon, meaning, on non-happening-reminders situations, the icon features a regular monochrome look (white, when on Ambiance GTK+ theme), notifying a reminder, automatically changes the mentioned icon to blue, thus aligning itself with the in-progress alarm's state.
