LibreOffice 3.4 BETA 4 released with more than 7000 bug fixes (since LibreOffice 3.3.2)
It seems that not only the web-browsers have increased their release activities, but also LibreOffice, the default open-source office suite in Ubuntu (starting with Natty).
The 3.4 version is in progress at the moment, and , just now, the Document Foundation has released the 4th BETA of LibreOffice 3.4, release that is usable in Ubuntu, both 32 and 64-bit (the first 3 BETAs were unusable due to a launch-related bug).
So, what is new in LibreOffice 3.4 BETA 4?
- more than 7000 bug fixes (since LibreOffice 3.3.2)
- numerous icons modified and redesigned (since LibreOffice 3.3.2)
- improved toolbar (since LibreOffice 3.3.2)
- new navigation button in Writer (since LibreOffice 3.3.2)
- LibreOffice's splash progress-bar color is green now (since LibreOffice 3.3.2)
- the launch of LibreOffice has been fixed (32&64-bit)

How do we install LibreOffice 3.4 BETA 4?
Uninstall your previous LibreOffice installation, download the package, unpack it and type in a terminal (if you unpacked the archive in "Downloads")
cd Downloads/LibO_3.4.0beta4_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US/DEBS
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
cd desktop-integration
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
