Meet Stormcloud, fancy weather app
Either if we are living in the East or in the West, North or South, sometimes, weather plays an important role in our daily activities, in situations like going to a concert, attending a job-related meeting, performing various college exams, etc, activities that can be influenced by the current weather conditions.
While most Ubuntu users are not weather specialists, the above situations may require a quick look at weather conditions, when, in a matter of seconds, one can grasp a sufficient idea of the "outside" weather status.
Stormcloud is a simplistic yet interesting utility, allowing the user to easily access weather conditions at a press of a button.
Launching the application, presents the user a fancy window where weather conditions are exposed, window adopting monochrome elements and properly rendered components, such as the city's name, degrees, windspeed.
Furthermore, Stormcloud houses (on its bottom area) a weather forecast, with specific day names and related details, basically, exposing via a singular view an effective amount of weather bits, both for the current and upcoming days.
Eyecandy is an aspect definitely considered by Stormcloud, launching (first time only) the utility, presents the user a dialog where the city and the country must be typed (with expressions like Paris France), clicking the OK-like icon, pushes the newly added city into the application.

In order to select a different city, click on it top-right "cog" icon, action that opens a sub-panel containing various configurations options, such as (along with the city's area) the handy option to choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit degrees and Retina Mode.
A definitely minor yet interesting bit is Stormcloud's automatic reverting to its main view if the user doesn't modify the settings after a certain amount of time (from the cog-generated sub-panel).
Along with the main view, Stormcloud comes with an enhanced Unity launcher icon, in the sense of displaying weather degrees via a countbadge.
Refreshing the app's exposed informations is as simple as clicking the top-right refresh-like icon, action that updates the weather conditions (conditions reflected by Stormcloud's used main color).
