New themes and icons to probably land in or starting with Ubuntu 12.04 (UDS-P)

UDS-P is running at full speed this week with lots and lots of exciting things released "in the wild".
Even though we are, in this matter, in the land of only rumors, it seems that Ubuntu is to probably be transformed into a even more polished and gorgeous UI in or starting with Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

Ubuntu Desktop Manager, Jason Warner, stated in an interview at UDS-P (minute 3:18): "I don't want to reveal too much", but "I look" for a "complete UI refresh", "we talked a little about new themes, icons", pointing out Ubuntu as a stable platform, too (as a permanent objective).

Remains to be seen if Precise will feature new GTK+3 themes (others than Ambiance and Radiance) or probably redesigned themes based on the new icon theme (months ago, there were some "official rumors" about a completely new icon theme to land in Ubuntu 12.04).

The answer came after a "Things that are to happen in the 2 years between the LTSs" question, consequently, there is no certain date or release cycle when this goodies are to be materialized.

It is a certainty that Canonical/Ubuntu has become quite serious about the overall UI, not only Unity.
