Ridual is a simplistic yet effective file manager designed with a dual-pane interface in mind, thus (by default) exposing two file manager instances incorporated into a singular interface.

Unity 6.6 landed in Ubuntu 12.10 with visual enhancements, new default lenses (Gwibber, Shopping), Dash animation and numerous new features

Weeks ago, the developers introduced Unity Previews, handy manners of accessing extra informations about items exposed in the Dash, consequently, right-clicking on an item, opens a preview-dedicated Dash view, from where both extra details and control buttons are available.

FileSwap Filelink add-on adds FileSwap file attachment support to Thunderbird (free service, anonymous account supported)

Weeks ago, Thunderbird introduced the ability to add big-sized attachments stored in Ubuntu One, behavior followed by Dropbox (via an add-on).

Shotwell 0.13 adds Tumblr support, privacy options and fixes

Shotwell, Ubuntu's default digital photo organizer, has been updated to another meaningful release, 0.13, introducing new features and under-the-hood changes.

The new 0.13 release adds support for Tumblr, consequently, users are now able to easily upload images to Tumblr directly from inside Shotwell.

The Tumblr plugin is disabled by default, in order to activate it, navigate to Shotwell-->Edit-->Plugins-->check Tumblr
