Official Nexus 7 launchpad project: "A PPA which provides a desktop one-click solution for installing Ubuntu on your Asus Nexus 7"
Days ago, an exciting Youtube clip triggered a solid amount of positive reactions, clip demoing an Ubuntu-powered Nexus 7 tablet (with usable workspace switcher, successful Firefox launch, etc), demo followed by official statements (related to an upcoming in-depth demo/presentation at Ubuntu Developers Summit, starting on October 29th 2012).
After various images and rumors, it seems that the developers (including Alex Chiang, Chris Wayne, Matt Fischer, etc) have created an official launchpad page, The Ubuntu Nexus7 Team, furthermore, introducing two PPAs (that have already started to be populated with Nexus 7-related packages).
Judging by the PPAs' name, one can easily speculate about how Ubuntu is going to be installed on a Nexus 7, meaning, the second PPA, Ubuntu Nexus7 Desktop Installer, features (as its description): "A PPA which provides a desktop one-click solution for installing Ubuntu on your Asus Nexus 7", probably (at the moment contains terminal-based tools, such as android-tools-adb) users will be able to connect a Nexus device to a computer and (probably after launching a GUI) to hassle-free install a (probably) optimized version of Ubuntu on the Nexus 7.
