OpenShot 1.4.3 released with new theme, 3D animations and numerous improvements

OpenShot 1.4.3

OpenShot is a powerful open source video editor, that presents the user an easy-to-use interface, clear controls and numerous features (multiple tracks, animations, effects, transitions, 3D animated titles, etc).

OpenShot 1.4.3 has been released "after many months of hard work and dedication", adding features, enhancements and various refinements.

The new 1.4.3 release brings improved transition handling, allowing users to hassle-free utilize transitions applied to numerous clips, process rendered and previewed smoothly without further tweaks, adjustments, etc; adding a transition between two clips is to be performed by dragging & dropping the clips to the Track area, action followed by (under Transitions) dragging & dropping a transition between the two clips (the result: dragging the sequence line or clicking the play button from the Video Preview, generates an accurate properly rendered transition-enabled clip).

Usually, when creating clips, adding 3D animations (for key words, titles, etc), brings an "exotic" pleasant-to-the-eye look & feel, aspect already implemented in OpenShot; yet, the 1.4.3 release introduces new 3D animations, such as Realistic Earth (drawing a fancy line from one city to another on top of a high-quality rendered Earth), Exploding Text (in-depth manner of "destroying" a piece of text, generating a massive amount of text "particles"), Dissolving Text (into a blue-ish "fog"), etc.

In order to set a specific speed level (2X, 2X, 4X, 5X) for animated titles, navigate to OpenShot-->Title-->New Animated Title-->select Animation length

Holo is a newly implemented theme, that pushes a dark look into OpenShot, featuring black-ish transparent containers (for transitions, etc), blue-ish highlight lines and sequence line, theme suitable for both dark themes (thus generating a "full" dark look) and light themes (expressing a fancy contrast).

The Holo theme can be selected under OpenShot-->Edit-->Preferences-->General-->Default theme-->holo

Option to simultaneously apply effects to multiple tracks/clips, new transitions, refreshed dependencies (OpenShot 1.4.3 requires Blender 2.62 and above, Blender 2.62 is available via Ubuntu 12.04's Ubuntu Software Center) and a solid amount of bug fixes, come to deliver a strengthened polished OpenShot release.
