Picsaw 1.0 released with enhanced Unity quicklist and various fixes (PPA available)
Picsaw is a fancy "animated" puzzle game, where the user is to, after navigating through "packs" of user images, complete the image from puzzles with different difficulty levels (12, 24 and 48 blocks), accessible by clicking the three top white-ish puzzle icons.
Picsaw has just been updated to version 1.0, introducing, along with various fixes, handy Unity integration, via an enriched Unity launcher quicklist, with New Puzzle, Help and About, as well as HUD support.
Shuffling the puzzle pieces (and thus starting a game) can be reverted via Unity quicklist's New Puzzle or by simple pressing Alt (summoning the HUD) and typing new (following by pressing Enter/Return).
How do we install Picsaw 1.0.1?
Add the following official PPA (Precise, Quantal)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:picsaw-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install picsaw
By default, Picsaw exposes and uses the images found in the Pictures folder, yet, by creating a separate folder in the Pictures folder named Jigsaw Puzzles and coping images into it to be used with Picsaw, Picsaw will ignore the images located in the Pictures folder, using only images from Pictures-->Jigsaw Puzzles
