Pinta 1.4 released with new features and optimizations

Pinta is lightweight yet effective open source drawing (and editing) tool, designed with providing users an easily graspable filled-with-numerous-features interface in mind.

Pinta has been updated to another interesting release, 1.4 version, taking a step further towards more default features.

The Magic Wand tool gained new modes, such as Union, Exclude, Xor, Intersect, modes accessible under Selection Mode (after clicking the left-side tool area's magic wand icon).

The 1.4 version comes with both new features and optimized components, such as layer blend modes, copy & paste support for the text tool, different sampling sizes for the color picker, Copy Merged command (useful to copy the flattened image to clipboard, as opposed to just the current layer), optimized used computer resources (especially when on Open Images Pad), improved rendering, enhanced support for special characters, improved support for extensions, etc.

How do we install Pinta 1.4?
