Shotwell 0.12 released with new Straighten tool and bug fixes
Ubuntu's default photo manager, Shotwell, has just been updated to version 0.12, after several months of "hard work", consolidating Shotwell into a solid project that in its 0.12 release "saw us add our one-hundred-thousandth line of code".
Along with numerous bug fixes and "it’s now more stable than ever before", the 0.12 release introduces a new tool, Straighten, useful for adjusting and modifying picture's angles.
How do we install Shotwell 0.12?
Add the following official PPA (Oneiric)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yorba/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install shotwell
Shotwell 0.12 has already landed in Precise Pangolin.
