Shotwell 0.9.2 released with many bug fixes

Ubuntu's default digital photo organizer, Shotwell, has just reached version 0.9.2.

This is a bug fixes mainly related release, that aims to improve stability and consistency.

What is new in Shotwell 0.9.2?

  • critical issues fixed (canceling Flickr upload crashed Shotwell, creating a Picasa web-album with an "&" in the name crashed Shotwell, etc)
  • "Publish" option in single photo mode publishes only the respective photo (doesn't publish the entire library anymore)
  • fixes issue with ratings filter where it didn't function when the search bar was hidden
  • various translations fixed

How do we install Shotwell 0.9.2?
Add the following PPA (Maverick Meerkat only)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yorba/ppa

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install shotwell
