Shutter 0.89 released with appindicator support
Using Ubuntu and its default shell, Unity, accustoms one on usage behavior patterns, such as managing, tweaking, accessing, etc, an application from the Unity panel/top bar (via an appindicator) and/or via its Unity launcher quicklist, usage patterns that tend to be imprinted in one's mind due to daily repeated actions.
Shutter is a full-fledged powerful screenshot utility that allows one to both take size-aware screnshots (fullscreen, selections, active window, etc) and to edit the taken picture via a basic yet solid bundle of editing tools, furthermore, presenting numerous online services useful to upload images at a press of a button, directly from inside Shutter.
Months ago, Shutter introduced an enhanced Unity quicklist, from where the users can access commonly used functionalities, such as Select a window to capture.
Shutter has been updated to version 0.89, introducing appindicator support, thus extending Shutter's functionalities to the whole spectrum of the Unity desktop, allowing user to use Shutter via both Unity launcher and Unity panel.
The new appindicator comes with numerous exposed functionalities, such as area selections, Menu, Preferences, etc, properly "packed" bundle of entries that gather relevant Shutter components.
Clicking on Shutter appindicator-->Active Window (and thus taking a picture), hides the appindicator, appindicator summoned after the screenshot is taken (the mentioned behavior is intended, "the indicator disappears temporarily when taking a screenshot. This is not a bug").
