LumiNight theme suite released (containing Salience 1.0 stable and FS Icons Ubuntu 0.6 ALPHA)

Months ago, the work on Salience started, effort materialized in the weeks ago's first public release of Salience.

Salience is a dark GTK+ theme designed with a full theming approach in mind, in the sense of delivering a polished full-dark theme with eyecandy elements, readable text, pleasant-to-the-eye proportions, etc, basically a dark yet usable and interesting GTK+ theme.

Dark GTK+ theme, Salience, updated to 1.0 BETA with new refinements

By default, Ubuntu ships Ambiance and Radiance, two polished pleasant-to-the-eye GTK+ themes, presenting themselves as opposite themes, in the sense of expressing a dark and a light theming approach.

Nevertheless, while bearing a dark "versus" light approach, the mentioned themes come with a relative attitude, especially the dark Ambiance, theme that features dark elements on its titlebar, toolbar, etc, while retaining light visual elements for windows' main views.

Prettify your desktop with Salience, dark GTK+ theme

Ubuntu provides, by default, two main GTK+ themes, Ambiance and Radiance, themes represented as opposites, one with a light and the other with a dark approach.

Ambiance comes with a relative approach, exposing, on an overall black used pattern, white menus (when the menus have a light/white source).

Salience is a dark GTK+ theme (designed to be used with FS Icons Ubuntu), featuring a complete approach, in the sense of delivering a full/complete dark theme (with right-click menus, etc).
