Thunderbird 6 BETA 1 has landed in Oneiric Ocelot with badge and Messaging Menu support
Thunderbird 6 BETA 1 has just landed in Oneiric Ocelot's main repos bringing numerous big fixes.
Thunderbird 6 BETA 1 is now finally integrated into the new Messaging Menu and, when a new email is received, the envelope becomes blue.
Unity dock's Thunderbird icon features now a badge counting your unread emails, a "must" feature that doesn't require a separate extension anymore.
How do we install Thunderbird 6 BETA 1?
Add the following "BETA channel" PPA (Lucid, Maverick, Natty)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/thunderbird-next
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install thunderbird
