Tomahawk is a fancy socially-connected open-source music player, that comes with support for numerous online music services, an eyecandy interface and ability to successfully manage solid music collections both online and offline, searchable via a handy Global Search.

Tomahawk has been updated to version 0.4 bringing mainly under-the-hood changes without major addition, yet:

  • better organized sidebar, helping users to group, manage and access more easily music collections
  • increased speed when dealing with resolvers (pieces that bring Youtube, Soundcloud, etc integration into Tomahawk)
  • improved style and contrast
  • minor overall UI enhancements
  • bug fixes

How do we install Tomahawk 0.4?
Add the following official PPA (Natty, Oneiric, Precise)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tomahawk/ppa

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install tomahawk
