Track your postal packages across the world with Parcel Tracker (PPA available)

Parcel Tracker

Being adapted to the "global village", means that, in our big world with numerous countries, one is to learn its "customs", such as international languages, global use-tos, how-tos, etc, efforts, sometimes, accompanied by rewards, such as lower money amount payed for the same more expensive local product, ability to purchase a product manufactured only in particular countries, easy manner of supporting a person and/or cause from the other side of the world (as compared to one's geographical location), etc.

Nevertheless, sending and/or waiting a product to reach its destination, can sometimes trigger a loss of energy for the person impatient as related to one's package location, position across the world, etc.

Parcel Tracker is a handy utility that tracks parcels (packages) across their destination, by using postal ID numbers (tracking codes) used in relation with various powerful online services with the purpose of gathering and exposing data related to the tracked package's position.

Launching the application, presents the user a simplistic dialog where the ID number is to be typed, action followed by clicking the Add button and entering a brief description of the package (mainly for user's ease of identification).

After the required information is entered, the dialog starts to populate itself with tracking information, containing year, month, hour, post, action types (such as arrival, departure, etc).

Parcel Tracker uses notifications, thus exposes the package's status via Ubuntu notifications when a new destination stage is reached.

At the moment, the handy utility features, as online sources, russianpost, emspost, posta, postdanmark, swisspost, sources that can be enabled/disabled (enabled by default) under Parcel Tracker appindicator-->Preferences-->Enabled Searches
