Unity 3D 4.20 released with Desktop title, new "Alt+Tab" mode and numerous bug fixes

Unity 3D has just reached yet another interesting release, 4.20 version, bringing numerous bug fixes, stability and new features.

What is new in Unity 3D 4.20?

  • Unity panel has a title now when on inactive mode (when there is no focused window on the desktop) composed from Ubuntu logo and "Desktop"
  • Dash's scrollbar is now rounded and gained glow
  • enhanced readability by lightning/darkening the Dash
  • new "Alt+Tab" "biased" mode (gives higher priority to the main workspace's windows, so, when "Alt+Tab"-ing, if you have, for instance, Firefox and Gedit opened in your main workspace and Vlc in other workspace, Firefox and Gedit will be first)

to use it, go to CompizConfig Settings Manager (install it via Ubuntu Software Center if you haven't already)-->Ubuntu Unity Plugin-->Switcher-->check "Bias alt-tab sorting to prefer windows on the current viewport"
