VLC 1.1.10 released with numerous improvements (Oneiric Ocelot)

VLC 1.1.10

VLC 1.1.10 has just landed in Oneiric Ocelot's main repos (can be installed via Ubuntu Software Center, Synaptic, etc).

What's new in VLC 1.1.10?

  • "webm" files can now by opened by VLC's Unity launcher item via drag&drop
  • numerous improvements in pulseaudio output plugin
  • some annoying crashes have been fixed
  • support for dra&drop of any URL (VLC 1.1.10 plays now files from shared folders, etc)
  • GNOME mime-types for "Ogg Vorbis" and "Ogg Theora"
  • bug fixes
